EUROPEAN PROGRAMS

Georgios Afxentiou Research Laboratory Ltd prepares applications, technical and economic studies, evaluates applications and offers consulting to businesses for the following European funding programs:

A. The European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST)

1. COST PROGRAM (CA18236): Multi-disciplinary innovation for social change (SHIINE)

Member, July 2019 – July 2023

The aim of this Action is to demonstrate, through the adoption of Multi-Disciplinary Innovation (MDI) methods, how we can respond to social problems with a design-led approach which has a problem-oriented ethos, supporting positive social change and the development of international public policy discourse.

2. COST PROGRAM (CA15137): The Evaluation of the Impact of Research in Social Sciences and the Humanities in the Society (ENRESSH)

Member, April 2016 – April 2020

The challenge of the Action is to enable the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) to better demonstrate their true place in academia and society. At the origin of European universities, they continue to attract large numbers of students, produce world class research and contribute significantly to the financial viability of the European university system. Nevertheless, they struggle to adapt to evaluation systems that do not fully reflect the aspirations and research patterns of SSH disciplines and that tend to emphasize impact in terms of immediate economic returns.

Georgios Afxentiou Research Laboratory Ltd and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development have an agreement to provide management consulting services to SMEs in Cyprus.
